The anti-videogame lawyer, ever heard of him? Anyways, he's always popping up on gamepolitics.com to say something suprisingly stupid. Funny thing is, since they banned anon comments, he's had to make several accounts, they keep getting banned for the insane rhetoric he's always spouting. The last one was banned for accusing all gamers of being like members of the Hitler Youth. @_@

Anyhow, I'm just amazed someone so unproffessional can find work as a lawyer, get on CNN, and talk to Senators. Makes me worry about the government, given that Hillary Clinton is taking advice from someone who has worse manners than the morons on LJ who are barely literate.

The guy is a moron. He favors all violent video games banned. That's crap.

I think verbal violence (somewhat like his) is just as bad as video game violence. Heh.

Here's the comments which got him banned. I find GTA offensive, but at least it's not blantantly soul-numbingly stupid.

Speaking of Hitler, you would do well not to bring him up, especially to a history major (Denison University, Class of 1973)who actually studied the Third Reich. Pay attention now: Hitler's rise to power was facilitated by a forced preoccupation of Germany's youth with violence. The Hitler Youth indoctrination technique was to remove God from their lives and fill them with vapid, soul-draining militarism. Gee, sounds like Metal Gear Solid 2, which led to that tragic boy's suicide lately.

I don't see much about God on the GP site, and the reason is that you gamers, most of you here, have chosen to fill your heads, hearts, and souls up with the type of nonsense that would have made Hitler proud. You worship violence as a means of entertainment to the exclusion of all things Divine.

Don't lecture me about how I'm somehow akin to Hitler. Gamers are akin to the Hitler Youth. Pixelantes are vigilantes. You put threats ahead of arguments, extortion ahead of enlightenment.

Sounds like Metal Gear Solid 2? Sounds like? Did the guy even give these games a chance and actually play them instead of read the summary on the back of the game?
He has no clue what he's talking about...not like that wasn't obvious.

From what I've found out from another person on that forum, he actually doesn't do much lawyering, his wife actually keeps the 40 hour a week job that pays the bills and he spends most of his time on the internet. He has no first hand knowledge of any games as far as I know. That's how he comes up with stuff like "Pedophiles play The Sims and simulate molesting minors which later on they act out.".
