I got the red rings of death on my 360 a few weeks back. Last week I submitted a form through the infamous 360 online tech. support. In the same week I got the box to ship my broken console in. I just got an email that it was "successfully fixed" and is en route to my house. That was a lot faster than I expected. If you're doubting whether or not you should send it in just fucking do it and don't be a vagina.
Yeah, When mine got the RROD, it took them 4 weeks to "fix" it. Sent it back broken, called them up and bitched, got the box the next day, and got it back fixed within a week or so. This was a year or so ago, I hear they keep getting faster now. They shouldn't have this problem anyway.
