I love Jack White and both of his groups - The White Stripes and Raconteurs! Any other Jack White fans out there?

I dig Jack White, it's hard for me to narrow it down to one favorite, in my opinion the best band going right now is Red Hot Chilli Peppers, those dudes are still going strong after decades

Yeah, The Rolling Stones was a great band.

Queen just has an odd sort of style to them. Maybe that's why I like them so much.

That is very hard! To choose only one band is impossible right now. There are few that come to my mind and all of them are different: Queen, The Beatles, Green Day, R.E.M., Blues Traveler... I guess my favorite band is any of the ones I mentioned at the moment I am listening to them. In music, like in any other art form, the variety is such, thet it is an impossible task to just stick to just one. Besides, I feel my life has its own soundtrack and depending on the moment, the emotion, the circumstance, then the music goes according to it.

My favorite band right this moment is Blue October. I love their sound and style! They are still fairly new on scene, but I hope they will be around for awhile.

My all time favorite band would have to be Led Zeppelin. I like a lot of the bands from the 70's. Shows how old I am.

I loved his music, too. My parents wouldn't let me have any of his records, though, because they didn't approve of him (it was when Purple Rain came out). In fact, Prince was the main reason that they wouldn't get MTV in our house! My Dad thought he was evil or something. So, I had to listen to Prince on the radio or at a friend's house.
I really enjoyed his old stuff. I haven't listened much to any recent music by Prince, though.

I've never liked one band so much I could swear by their music, you know?

I am, however, a big fan of Queen, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Green Day, and Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie, and Godsmack. At least, those are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head.

It's so hard to pick just one favorite band, as a lot of it has to do with where my head was at the time. the Beatles stand out as one all time favorite, but so do Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, U2, Green Day. then there are those that held my attention at the time and I still remember fondly, like REO Speedwagon, Head East, and Blue Oyster Cult.

My mother feel the same way about me, and when he was at his peaked i was too young then. He performed at the Super Bowl Halftime and he killed it on the guitar. His guitar skills are so underrated.

My parents was Prince fan so when they know that I liked his music and listened to Purple Rain there wasn't a big fuss out of it.

statistically it's The Beatles, but ATM probably the Arctic Monkeys, and actually it largely depends on mood and what I'm doing (Nightwish can be brilliant for coding, but only that, for example)

I couldn't answer this because there's probably hundreds. Every single I band I like is listed on my myspace, I'll advertise just for any curious minds: http://www.myspace.com/champagne_and_pearls
But most of the already listed bands I'd agree with.

statistically, Kaiser Chiefs are no1 now... I don't really have a favourite band/group, I have a number of groups I listen to most, and then there are some that I listen to little despite the fact that they're brilliant, like Queen or Pink Floyd.
