Rating System

I'm about to plan how the new rating system will work on Version 4.

I believe it will have a good bearing on giving members more power to self moderate the forums.

There is still a few details that need to be worked out.

In Version 4, there is a field that controls post flood control. It basically says that you can post twice in a certain amount of time. This field will be increased if someone continually gets negative ratings (to the point of, perhaps, only one post per hour is allowed).

Post any ideas that you have as well for a new rating system. What would you like to see?

Sounds like a good idea, will stop moron Spam, But will probobly Be Abbused by members such as FroogleDoop And Area Mike.
For obvious reasons.

There may be an option for a meta moderation (Slashdot style). I really want to give power to the members instead of having to use a team of moderators.

I Like The Idea Of It, Makes us members feal as if we have a say in what goes down.

Hmmm.I guess so.I never really liked the idea in the first place.
It made me feel victimized and stupid when people put negative ones on my comments back then.
Second of all,it's offensive.You know that some people on here don't take offensive things towards them well.I.e. me in 2007.Whatever.The world doesn't revolve around me.Carry on.
