Ok This thread is a chance to show how well you can write poetry or anything good at all
Rules NONE really just try not to screw this thread up.
I'll start

Once i desire something...
I cannot undesire it.
I cannot even try to resist,
I will desire it until i have it,
But there si no end,
No matter how much I take,
I still want.

Is there love in this world?
Where can i find love?
Nobody nows or responds.
the answer only lies
in my own hands.

He would not take my hand He would not lend me his voice

He would not even look me in the eye

Before i would be
Locked away...

...I made myself small,
and hid in my space.

Yet each man kills the thing he loves,
By each let this be heard,
Some do it with a bitter look,
Some with a flattering word,
The coward does it with a kiss,
The brave man with a sword!

What am i, alas, what purpose has my life?
I nothing am, a corpse without a heart,
A useless shade, a victim of sad strife,
One who lives yet, nad wishes to depart.
My enemies, no envy hold for me:
My spirit has no taste for greatness now.
Sorrow consumes me in extreme degree,
Your hatred shall be satisfied, I vow.

yea but i have another one

Every year i come to the cemetry
Our journals of love, i do carry.
Three years have passed since my lover's death
with his own, he took my breath
shadows around me move on their own
i see a face made of sacred stone.
my darling angel, where are you now?
to live this life, i do not know how
staring at me is teh jilted moon.
who never had his wver which to swoon
six centuries shared has turned into six feet
the wholeness once felt has become in complete
i hang my head to weap at our separation,
to full experience what is now desperation
as i hang my head, i do not know why,
but i feel eyes staring at me as i cry,
when will the season of winter pass from my heart?
and i know, it is when we are no longer apart.

Death

In the morning
In the night,
Death will come in swift flight
Through the darkness through the light
Death will come without a fight
While your sleeping while you wake
Death is one thing you can not shake
In a fire and in a quake
Death is something you shouldn’t fake

Oh I just love death and darkness

On his wings as black as night

He cares not if your sleeping or if your awake

He is someone you can not shake

He stalks you your entire life

Then he’ll stab you with his scythe

Watch your step and do not fall

we meet in the dark,and out of the light
we meet behind stores over secret nights
our love is forbidden,so we keep it hidden

ok that does explain a lot i love it

its the first love poem I've done in years usualy I write about death and decay

really i don't write poems on love at all mostly death

so do I,its just that I used to write poems about love and happiness (one even got published in newsprint)

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

when he used to love me he settled for hating me instead
we used to laugh and talk all the time
untill he changed and became a person i no longer understand
why does one have to put up with this madness of losing the things we love
my light was dark then you came along and made it bright
my life was empty and you brought exciment to it
then you left and all became dark
i felt my heart break for all is lost

what do you think about that?

As I wake by your side,
My feelings for you I can not hide,
I touch your face in the morning light,
Being with you just feels so right

You make me feel like I'm a King,
Like being inside an awesome dream,
Although this is real, that I know,
As the love that surrounds us continues to grow

I think of what the future holds...
Marriage, children, us growing old,
And as I lay, with you dear,
I'm just so glad you're mine, you're here.
