Weekend vacation ideas on a budget? Old Wed Sep 26, 2007 4:25:20 AM #41580 Perm Link
So my guy gets Oct 1-3 off for vacation and technically has the 2 previous days off because Saturday and Sunday are his regular off days. I get every day off but work Saturday morning so we have mid Saturday to the 3rd (Wednesday) free to go anyplace, but we are low on cash...
Any general ideas or perhaps something in GA anyone knows of?
We are stuck!

You didn't say the budget.

I am not from Georgia but I know when I am just looking to get away and don't have alot of mony a nice couple of nights in a hotel is always a fun idea. I usually try to get a hotel that has a pool and a bar inside and I am set.

Any place is usually fine so long as you get to spend some time away from your normal routine and you have lots of fun and a change of scenery. What about camping, or is it too cold?

Camping is something I also enjoy doing. I would think that in Georgia it would still be fairly warm enough to go and there are some fun campgrounds around with a lot to do nowaday's.

Cool. So perhaps camping is the go then. Camping grounds cater for every budget and taste theses days with tent sites through to luxurious cabins and units available for those that don't want to rough it. I just took my family to Cairns for three weeks and we stayed in budget cabins- had a blast and had enough cash to snorkle the reef by saving on our accomodation bill.
