Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?

Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?

Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?

Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?

Any random things you guys wonder about??

What are we but caged birds?

Why do different sects of the same religion hate each other to the point of killing?

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?

Hair doesn't have (as much) 'reactionary' melanin in it like our skin does, which is what causes the darker pigment. Sunlight tends to pale/bleach everything else that doesn't have such a reaction.

I always wonder why we put so much emphasis on creating long lasting relations when the life we lead requires us to constantly break ties (in school you only have the same group of people for one year and at the very end of the learning process you expect to never see any of those people again, you're not expected to hold the same job for years and years, children are expected to move out of their parents home promptly at 18 or they're considered somehow deficient in life abilities, people die....).

If the America was built on diversity why are we taught in such a way that without our own interference, we'd all turn out to be the same person? (read as - I loathe that I had to take Speech)

If the world impresses that we're only worth something with a good education, why do they then make college a competition? Wouldn't it be more efficient to teach those who wanted to learn and not only accept people who'd make your school look good?

Why is it considered childish to watch cartoons?

Why is it considered adult to spend every night smoking pot and passing out drunk?

Do racists know they're racist?

Why do most professional fields require you to know someone in order to get into it?

Why does the world reject introverts?

Why do we enforce our opinions into matters that will not affect us in anyway (in matters such as gay marriage or the Terri Shiavo case of last year)?

Why is there so much emphasis on giving eye contact when it's oft seen as a sign of aggression?

I'm done. I have much more but I won't bore you XD I have a very busy, neurotic mind.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

Yes, racists know they are racist. Only the people who fear it will ruin their reputation deny any racism.

Why do few people know what the E stands for in ASE?

Why do few people know what the E stands for in ASE?

Those that know the answer to this question will keep quiet due to the low amount of people that do know the correct answer. It is really easy.

Not out of fear. :3

You know, I read that years ago and since then I've made a conscious effort to keep my mouth closed when I put on mascara.

because people fear change and things that are diffrent in life. if you are diffrent you are weird, if you like darkness you must be a devil worshiper, if you are were in the army you killed people... they are conclutions people tend to put on others because others have put such thoughts in there head (not just people but the radio the t.v. and the internet) people cant see whats beond the darkness that is what scares them, people that are "weird" tend to be quite intelligent and see things for who/what they really are (people who can look outside the box's in more ways then one)...

Quote

if you are were in the army you killed people
not all men and weman that surve in the armed forces go kill people some are doctors, dentist, mechanics ext,... people fear the unknow for they fear to lose control of there life went in reality they were never in control if they feel that way.
