Little know what lies beneath..

(Somewhat based off a manga I read not long ago >w< )

The year is 2080 and life goes on as it usually does. Every few years you would find those who foretell the end of the world, but as usual its just superstition. Little know of what goes on elsewhere, the dark world that is always spoken of, but never seen.

But of course not everything is as it seems. Despite its dark appearance, Hell is just like the human world in its own way. Only instead of humans living there, many different creatures live there instead, both good and bad. Every time someone dies on earth, a new person is born in Hell, and it has been for centuries.

There rests a castle in the middle of Hell, along with a king who rules the land. His only child, Akane, is to one day rule over Hell in his place. Only the king refused to allow her to rule unless she gets married. Akane, who was clearly angered by this, ignored her father and refused to marry. It was then that he had decided to take matters into his own hands, and call for an arranged marriage. The princess did the only thing that she could do, run, with only one thought on her mind:

'How can you ever marry someone you do not love?'

She, along with her cat (who can shape-shift into a human) disguised herself and hid in the human world, little did she know that her father had sent some of the demons to retrieve her. Her fiance isn't going to wait forever, you know..

No godmodding, do I really have to explain why?
Its mainly going to be based on earth, how do you think people would react to see a demon walking around? So, shape-shifting seems like a good idea for demons, no?
The demons won't recognize her human form unless they see the Crest which is on her back. (basically a tattoo that symbolizes who she is, she was born with it as was her family)
You can be any race~ heck, even some form of steam-punk elf...its more fun if your creative~
Anyone can be the demons that are to bring the princess back
Its the future, so hover-boards and such exist O3O! (*sobs because hover-boards haven't been invented yet*)
Oh and humans are fun too, y'know D; so..make sure there are at least one human..

Likes: Hell, it is her home after all. Earth, though she has much to see. Not having responsibility, being free.
Dislikes: Her father, her 'fiance', having responsibility

Weapon(s): She uses tendrils which form from the crest on her back, though she can only use this power in Hell.
Abilities: She can cast magic which is based around fire. Her magical abilities though limited, are quite powerful, due to training magic for most of her life. She can send waves of fire-bolts at her enemies, burning them to a crisp.
History/Info: Akane is the only child of the king, and she never knew her mother. Ever since she was five years old, she studied magic and was never allowed to talk to anyone unless they were friends of her father. Of course she spoke to them, but not as a friend, more as business or politics as how one of the royal family should. She had found a kitten in the palace gardens one day, and decided to look after it. The kitten was her only friend, and the only one she could actually trust. It was when she had reached her 17th birthday that her father had mentioned it is far due time she had gotten married, in which Akane strongly opposed this idea. Knowing that her father would never give up, she ran off to the human world along with her cat and disguised herself as a normal teenage girl.
Extra: She has never seen humans before. Though she HAS heard of them. She also has no hatred towards Heaven.

History/Info: Growing up is never easy. Especially when you have been intrusted to protect humanity. Viktor learned this at a very young age. Being trained by his father, he was also taught the balance between good and evil. Viktor had always wanted to be ,like stories he was told in his adolescence, a hero. This is the reason he has always stood up for whats right, no matter the foe. Viktor has chosen this path because not only does he wish to be a hero but he also wants to be rermembered. He too wants to leave a legendary tale to his name.

Personality: Glimmer is sweet girl, but her mood can change quickly. Being a half-angel, she finds that lots of people tend to like her and enjoy her company. Those who don't like her... Just don't like her at all.

Likes: Ice Cream, Cookies, Milkshake, Sweet Things, Kittens and Puppies, Dancing, Singing, Socialising and Art.

Dislikes: Vegetables. She also has a fear of heights which can be annoying, especially when you can fly!

Crush: None have caught her eye, as of yet.

Weapon(s): Generally, Glimmer isn't required to fight, but she can summon her bow at any time;

Abilities: Glimmer's abilities are more on the defensive side rather than the offensive due to angel's being such peaceful creatures;

~ Guardian's Shield - Glimmer can create a large bubble around herself and another being. This acts at a force field that can last for about a minute before disappearing. Unfortunately, this will drain Glimmer of some of her power. This 'bubble' can be penetrated by reasonably strong attacks and is especially vulnerable to magic and enchanted weapons.

~ Detection - Glimmer is able to sense when other beings are around her and can then determine their location. A handy trick...

~ Wind Blade - Glimmer can shift the air around her to create a sword between her two hands. This sword consists of rapidly swirling currents of wind that can cut right through skin. Not that Glimmer would ever use it for that purpose.

~ Dimension Jump - Glimmer can jump from one dimension to the next. She has never tried this in fear of getting stuck. She can also take whatever or whoever she is holding with her. Uses up a lot of energy and requires rest afterwards.

History/Info: Glimmer's mother, Pearl,  is human, but her father, Leonardo, is an angel. Pearl was so intrigued with his beauty and sweet personality, that she fell in love with him instantly. At the time, he was visiting earth, acting as a guardian angel to a young man. He also had feelings for Pearl and began a relationship with her. Soon enough, the time came for Leonardo to return home but there was one problem; Pearl was pregnant with his child. As much as it pained him, he returned to his rightful place in heaven amongst the other angels,  Pearl already knowing what he was. A few months later, their beautiful baby Glimmer was born. She looked just like her father but had her mother's bubbly and sweet personality.

Glimmer never felt alone growing up; she was always surrounded by friend's and family. But there was a gap somewhere in her mind. For some reason, she felt as if she were different and it frustrated her greatly. At the age of ten, her mother revealed some details of her father to her, including the fact that she was half-angel. She warned Glimmer never to tell anyone, or to ever try to use any powers. Glimmer does not know what her father looks like as he only visited her once when she was a baby, but has a clear picture of what he looks like in her mind through her mother's descriptions of him.

Currently, Glimmer is in high school with plenty of friends and decent grades. She's also part of the art club and works at an ice-cream parlour part-time on weekends and during the summer. She enjoys life and has found no need to use any of her powers. She's also oblivious to the existence of creatures such as demons right now.

Personality: Laurelie is smart and friendly, but prefers to have a smaller group of close friends. Two's company, three's a crowd... y'know? Some would consider her to be a little weird and those who know her better would think she's an alright girl, if you catch her on a good day.

Likes: Reading, Comedy Films, Sitcoms, Watching Movies, Savoury Snacks, Tortillas, Roller Coasters, Theme Parks, Maths.

Dislikes: Drama, Snobs, MOST of the cheerleaders, Having Hair In Her Face & Chemistry.

Weapon(s): In her succubus form, Laurelie can grow extremely sharp claws that can deal a great amount of damage, especially to non-magical beings. She also has an enchanted scythe (See Hell Appearance) that leaves an opponent badly burnt.

Abilities:

~ Fire Breath - Laurelie is able to conjure a flame from her mouth. This can travel up to about ten yards, burning anything in front of it to a crisp. Inherited from her mother, a fire demon.

~ Circle of Flames - Laurelie can create a small circle around a desired being or object to 'trap'. The flames are about two to three foot high and can be put out if Laurelie's consciousness is lost or with water magic. 

~ Hypnosis - Simple beings and weaker demons may be transfixed by her 'beauty'. She can then literally ask them to do anything to which they will happily oblige. This can be easily resisted by stronger demons and occasionally mortals too. 

~ Summon Scythe - Laurelie can summon her scythe anytime, anyplace. Sometimes, it will summon itself automatically when Laurelie feels threatened or afraid. This scythe deals a fair bit of fire damage.

History/Info: Laurelie was born to a human father and a demon mother. She was conceived after her mother, Bethe, visited her father, Jonathan, several nights in a row and he resisted her seduction. He allowed her to see into his soul and she learnt that Jonathan loved her. After admitting that she loved him too, the two were married and bore a child, Laurelie. Soon after, Bethe was killed by hunters and Jonathan was left to raise Laurelie.

On her sixteenth birthday, Laurelie asked about her mother and her father told her the whole story. After hearing that she was a succubus or 'halfbreed', Laurelie became so upset that she locked herself in her room for three days, refusing to come out. She has since told nobody but still wants to know more.

In school, Laurelie gets the best grades and has a few friends, one strangely being the half-angel. Glimmer. Of course, she is unaware of her friend's race. Laurelie is also looking for a part-time job for some extra money.

Extra: Laurelie has always been shy around boys and even more so now. She hasn't even kissed one, let alone been in a relationship.

Weapon(s): Lei uses a sword to protect herself, being a Valkyrie she is rather good when it comes to battle and protecting herself. She can alter time itself for short amounts of time, one of many abilities she was granted when she became the top soldier in Hell.
Abilities: She can fly, and cast protective magic as well as offensive magic. This is limited, though. Which is why she would rather use her blade instead of magic.
History/Info: Lei is one of the people the king had ordered to retrieve the princess, and being quite the obedient person, she intends to fulfill the kings wishes, No-one will stand in her way of doing this. For years, she was one of the most loyalest guards in the palace and she still is even today. She hates people who talk too much and never take action, in fact you could say she despises them. Having grown up in a tough life, she has seen a lot of stuff over the years. But now, she loves life, and tends to live it to the fullest. Though she has never been to earth, she dislikes it, and would rather stay in Hell. But the kings orders are always final and so she must do what must be done. Even if it means risking her own life in the process.
