: L O S T . D E M O N :

:I n t r o d u c t i o n:

The little girl hides in the kitchen cupboard. Uncomfortable. Claustrophobic. Those would be the best words to describe the situation. With her knees pressed firmly into her chest and her neck craned, she could barely move an inch. The door is cracked open just the slightest, allowing a splice of light to enter.

And. . . enabling her to watch the scene unfold.

She could only see shadows against the parallel wall. Both dark and blotchy forms are shaped like her familiarly mother and father. The larger one, who must be her papa, raises a hand. Quickly, it is brought down on the smaller one’s face. With a blade. There’s a horrible scream as the tiny figure reels back, grasping their cheek.

The child gasps, trying to remain as silent as possible. She had been placed in the cabinet by her mother. She was told to remain quiet. To not be seen. But the tears started to soak her face as she viewed the event.

Blood. So much blood. It started to paint the wall where the shadows continued to violently act. The smaller figure kept shrinking, deforming. The bigger one seemed to grow with every strike it delivered, as if sucking up the injured one.

The little girl slammed her back against the cupboard and the door closed. She placed a hand to her cheek, feeling a different liquid add onto the waterworks.

Hours passed. Six to be exact. The only thing that hung in the air was an eerie stillness, and the powerful scent of iron.

Slowly, the little girl pushed open the cabinet’s door. With a slight creak of the hinges, she peered out. Instantly, her eyes grew twice their size.

Gore. The amount was immense. Lying scattered about on the floor and counters were bits and pieces of a dismembered body. Red stained everything. The world seemed to be drenched with the disgusting color.

The only thing she could think to do was scream.

Crying to the universe.

Cursing her existence.


-Four Days Later-

The two men sat in the café of Newbury Street. Probably one of the quietest neighborhood’s that Earth has to offer. Edgley is nicely sized, a population of roughly 3,000. But, there was crime every now and then. Plus, other. . . strange. . . things.

“Was it demons this time?” One younger man questions the other. He watches as the elder turns the page of his newspaper, and then brings the cup of coffee up to his cracked lips.

After setting the cup down, the older answers, “Demons? No. Demon. Just one.”

“It must have been pretty old and powerful to destroy an entire urban region of Nebraska all by itself. Usually it'd take at least an entire pack to do that.” The younger one states, starting to play with his slice of apple pie.

“A little girl. Six years old.” The elder responds, as if it were no big deal.

“SIX!?” The other gasps, his eyes bulging. The silver fork clanks to the linoleum flooring.

“Yup. There wasn’t anything left of the area, except for her house. There was a dead body. Wasn’t her doing. She was in a cabinet, crying her eyes out. Clearly in as much shock as everyone else. She wasn’t aware that she was the cause, though. Nobody was for a while. They thought the one who was killed in her house had done it before actually dying.” The guy sighs, setting the newspaper down.

“Where is she now? I mean. . . a demon that strong. And at such a young age? Damn.” The younger curses, his right hand curling into a tight fist against the table top.

“With her aunt. In this very neighborhood.” Is the elder’s reply.

A slight smile plays on his lips as he watches the younger’s jaw drop. “What!? She isn’t in the facility? She wasn’t killed?”

“Nope. She’s a fucking six year old. We aren’t placing her in that place. And we aren’t killing her. No. She doesn’t know she has these powers. And we want to keep it that way." The elder states, his voice firm and his eyes cold. The younger nods and slouches back in the seat. He exhales, and then gives another nod of understanding.

“You’re the one who didn’t tell anyone. No other demon hunter knows about this, do they? You’re the one who found her. . . and took her to her aunt.” The younger whispers, narrowing his eyes. The old man gives a playful smirk. The younger couldn’t help but laugh, and shakes his head.

“Since when do demon hunters become total softies? I’m supposed to be looking up to you old man.” The younger snickers as he grabs the newspaper. He then becomes serious. “But you know what we’ll have to do if she grows up and grows into her powers. And gives in to them.”

“Yeah. I know.” The elder closes his eyes and folds his arms over his broad chest. “I know. . .”

“We’ll have to kill her.”

Edgley is a nice and quiet town, with a population of slightly over 3,000. The location is somewhere in eastern America, about two hours away from the ocean. It is filled with a community of people of all ages, from babies to elders.

 Not everyone can be a demon. I need humans. And lots of them.
 I'm going to put a limit on how many demons that people can make. There are going to be other demons that I'll control, including smaller lower powered ones who aren't even close to being human, and there will be bigger and more powerful ones who also don't look human. Not all demons have human appearances. And these are usually the ones hunted by hunters, as the human-like ones tend to keep to themselves and like to maintain a normal lifestyle.
 The RP of course takes place in Edgley.
 There are demon hunters. But I’m only allowing a select few to be one.
 Listen to me.
 I’m the rule maker. If I see something I don’t like or a fight turns out in a way it shouldn’t have, I’ll change it myself or ask for it to be changed. Basically, what I say goes.

No, I am not telling you what it is. Anyways, the whip is fifteen feet long, and very thin. It is smooth, and sharp. The color is a dark metal that, in the sun, glints like the blue you see in the sky, or the blue in the sea. It can show any shade of blue. Depends on how you see it. Looks like a navy blue when you’re being beaten by it. Anyways, the handle is thick, two inches wide, and round. It is cherry red wood, with a metal blade, same metal and color as whip, that can pop out. The blade is two feet long. The handle is three feet. The whip part can be rolled into the handle, so, it is like a cane. The designs on it, are carved blue, all shades. This weapon was literally made for her. And it may be able to do more for her than one thinks. . . so watch out.
Special Abilities/Powers: Let’s get one thing straight. Odette is the queen of the demons. She is the main powerhouse of this party. She has the ability to warp reality itself, as well as summon and control other weaker demons. She can conjure storms with a simple thought or create horrible natural disasters. With one glance, she could destroy a city. With one glance, she could pop someone’s head off. But you see, that’s not the way Odette is. She doesn’t even want this powers, nor does she fully understand them herself. For all she knows, what happened all those years ago was just a horrible nightmare. It was some freak accident. Not her cause. More or less, Odette doesn’t know she’s a demon. Especially when it comes to the whole queen thing! . . .Not yet.
History/Info: Odette was born into a happy family. Sort of. Besides her father. He was a crazy drunk, who would come home early in the morning to assault her mother. Actually, Odette wasn’t even supposed to be born. She’s the creation of rape. But, her father wouldn’t allow her mother to go out and get an abortion, or even do anything for that matter. Then, when Odette was born, she was also a prisoner of the household. Odette was six years old when she watched her father murder her mother from a cupboard. The even caused something inside of Odette to snap. Something to awaken. The barrier had been broken, and a small fraction of Odette’s power was released. That resulted in the entire neighborhood to get obliterated. There was nothing. No one. Remaining. . . except for her house. Odette was found by Montgomery Smith, an older demon hunter. Seeing that Odette had no clue of what she had done, and she was traumatized by the scene of the house, he decided to locate her aunt. Odette was raised by her mother’s sister from then on, unaware of being a demon or what glorious power she contains.
Extra: Odette loves living in Edgley and has made a lot of friends, some of them ranging back to the fifth grade.
Odette is VERY athletic. Flexible, quick and agile. . . plus great endurance, stamina and strength. She is above Olympic levels, but still prefers to sit around and draw or write or eat.

Special Abilities/Powers: he can use his blood, the race of demons he is from decendents from water demons, only instead of using water they use their own blood, or even the blood of others to kill.
History/Info: he has survived longer then most of his cousins because of one simple decision he made a long time ago, instead of hunting powerful animals to gain their aspects, he focused on humans. for years he traveled killing bit by bit so as not to arouse suspicion, until he finally had a perfect human form. he has hated what he did, but he only killed evil, disgusting low life humans. he never killed in innocent, and maybe that's why the demon hunters believed his story. he had been captured about 26 years ago, give or take. the demon hunters don't usually take prisoners so when they took him in he was already unsure what was going on. they asked him why he killed all those criminals, and not just kill the easy targets. he replied that he wouldn't have even killed the criminals if he could help it. he told them that he just wanted to blend with the humans, live with them, he hated his own kind and the exiled him for his love for the human race. many demon hunters weren't happy about it, but the leader let him become a hunter, hoping a demon would be able to hunt demons better then a human. he didn't mind, he would have rather stayed living a normal human life, but the hunters said it was hunt for them, or die.

(I wrote a little short prologue to my character incase he gets excepted.)
Redd wakes up in a cell. "I thought I'd be dead by now." he says. a man, a bit old looking, walks into the room. "alright demon, prove to me right now why the boss wants us to keep you alive." he says holding a gun to my heart. "Why where all your victims criminals, most demons just kill whoever bothers them, or whoever they want to bother.' the man said angrily, I could hear the hatred in his voice, I had heard it so many times before.
"I do not enjoy the suffering of others, like my kin do." I say simply.
"HA, that's a laugh, i'm sure you enjoyed hearing the screams those criminals made when you attacked them, the crying, begging for mercy." he said.
"I hated every second of it, even the criminals did not deserve what I did to them. stealing their vary souls and pushing them into my blood stream so I could take a human form." I say.
"we can date your killings as far back as the 1800's, then you just up and stop around 1965. the trail runs cold and we don't find you again until you walk into our building, trying to get a job?" he asks. "why?"
"I had my human form, the killing would have been needless. the job thing, well, living as a human requires the money of a human." I say bluntly.
the man looks into my eyes, like he is reading my thoughts. "alright, you're not lying, I'd know if you where." he said. "damn, I was afraid of this, it would have been so much easier if you where a pure evil knuckle dragging demon, then i could just kill you and save you the torture." he said.
"what kind of torture?" I ask uneasy.
"years of working in an agency that wants to kill your own kind, people on your own team trying to kill you while you sleep because they don't trust you. these hot-blooded newbies will kill any demon they see, or die trying." he said. "you're lucky enough the boss was interested in hearing you out, even I was pushing for your death." the man said. "and I am probably the only man in this building who you can trust not to try and kill you." he stands up and the cell door opens. "don't worry, as long as you don't do anything suspicious no one will kill you, every single agent has been told personally by the boss that if I don't kill you, no one does." he said. I followed him through a hallway, people staring at me with so much hatred, I haven't felt this way since i got my human form, all these people know, all the killings where for nothing, as far as they are concerned I am still a demon.

(Holmes, I didn't want people dealing with blood. . . and I didn't want anyone making a demon who was also a demon hunter. If they let one in then they would have let more in. . . and they're COMPLETELY against demons. ESPECIALLY the leader. That's why he's the leader. So it wouldn't make sense for a demon to be with the demon hunters. And this is still an RP. Your character seems to be totally off in his own little world. And I wasn't going to even introduce hunters yet. I wanted to give them an opening scene after a while. Because the first time they're revealed [name and all] will be with Odette. So anyone who made a demon hunter just sort of blends in with the crowd until then. But yeah. . . the blood thing makes me think of bloodbending to the extreme. . .
