Recomend a good book! Wed Aug 29, 2007 12:19:46 PM#40571Perm Link
I'm getting tired of not having anything to read, so everyone should recomend a good book! I'm currently readying Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, since I have nothing else to read.
My suggestions:
The house of the Scorpion
Prey
Yes, I pity her; but it's her own blindness that so causes the other disabilities.
The House of the Scorpion by nancy farmer great book for anybody in my opinion
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Live, I will kill you. If I Die, You are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor.

I recommend "Romiette and Julio".
It's a modern take on Romeo and Juliet.
Very touching book and definitely for those romantic peoples out there.

If you like anything with magic, either The Chronicles of Valdemar or The Circle of Magic would be good series for you. Both are by Tamora Pierce, one of my favorite authors.
Ties that Bind and Ties that Break by Lensey Namioka.

Confessions of a Waiter
Kitchen Confidential
Those are the most recent ive read...the restaurant industry is insane. I could list classics all day long though.
The Gone series is amazing. So are books by Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I've just started reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and it's really good so far. I finished Moby Dick, it was a little slow on some things but an interesting read.
The Daystar Chronicles is a great series. I recently finished #2: Wizards of the Galaxy, and I was spellbound (sorry for the pun) from beginning to end.
