Kognitio Partners With Hosted Solutions To Host and Manage On-Demand Data Warehousing as a Service (DaaS(TM)) in North America
Technology services provider becomes first North American partner to offer Kognitio's DaaS to its customers; offering deep-dive, on-demand analytics
CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 2 -- Kognitio®, a leading global provider of business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing solutions, and Hosted Solutions, the East Coast's premier provider of IT infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), today announced that the two companies will partner to offer Kognitio's award-winning, on-demand Data Warehousing as a Service (DaaS) solution to organizations throughout North America.
Hosted Solutions is Kognitio's first hosting partner in North America, making DaaS, centered around its WX2 analytical database, available to a far wider range of companies than previously possible. The partnership was announced today at the SaaS Users Group Spring Roadshow, being held this week in Charlotte and Raleigh. Hosted Solutions is the title sponsor of the event, and Kognitio is a silver sponsor.
Under the terms of the partnership, Kognitio will use Hosted Solutions' five SAS-70 Type II data centers along the East Coast to securely host data from its DaaS customers. "Hosted Solutions' data centers provide the reliability and security we were seeking. Its customers already recognize the value in outsourcing key infrastructure capabilities, thus making it easier for us to convey to them the benefits in letting us handle their business analytics. We were impressed that Hosted Solutions recognized the value it could offer to its existing customers and prospects with DaaS. Hosted Solutions will make Kognitio's DaaS available to companies that want to benefit from deep-dive analytics, but may not have the upfront capital expenditures to run data analytics and data warehousing implementations on premise. Powered by Kognitio's WX2 database, DaaS gives organizations the ability to access and analyze their data, using, via Hosted Solutions' Stratus Trusted Cloud(TM) environment, with end-users simply paying via a terabyte-per-month-based model for the analytics they use.
