Concurrent Unleashes Next-Generation Multi-Screen Video Delivery Software

ATLANTA, May 3 -- Concurrent (NASDAQ:CCUR) Atlanta, GA, a worldwide leader in video and media data and advertising solutions, today announced the availability of MediaHawk VX, a next generation software solution for delivering revenue producing multi-screen video.  MediaHawk VX enables service providers and content providers to deliver commercial video to any device over any network from a unified hardware-agnostic platform.

"As the number of video capable devices available to consumers has grown, it has become increasingly important for content rights owners to extend their service offerings to new devices in order to attract and maintain customers," said David King, Concurrent's chief marketing officer and senior vice president, Video Solutions.  "Concurrent's MediaHawk VX software enables our customers to increase video related revenue by tapping into new screens and new applications without the need to introduce new hardware into the network."

The VX solution builds on the success of Concurrent's Emmy® Award winning video on demand (VOD) and time-shifted TV solutions.  Highlighted features of MediaHawk VX include:

--  Integrated Streaming & Download Delivery
      --  HTTP Progressive Download
      --  Dynamic Bit-Rate HTTP Streaming
--  RTSP Streaming featuring Gatling Resiliency(TM)
--  Support for Web and Wireless Connected Devices
      --  Apple® iPhone® and iPad®
      --  Adobe® Flash®
      --  Microsoft® Silverlight® (Smooth Streaming®)
--  Origin Server, Content Delivery, and Edge Caching Functionality
  --  3-D Content Support
--  Support for Multiple Hardware Platforms
--  Up to 20 Gbps of Output Per Rack Unit
--  Integrated 100% Solid State Cache

Concurrent's MediaHawk® and MiniHawk(TM) video server platforms are the first systems to leverage VX software to enable unified video delivery across diverse networks, including cable, IPTV, internet, and wireless infrastructures.  Both older generation and new generation hardware can run VX software.  Concurrent's latest generation servers have been shipping since July 2009 and support full VX functionality.

Concurrent has 205 distinct video systems deployed in cable and telecom markets worldwide that represent approximately 23.9 million basic cable subscribers. The company's MDAS software serves over 38 million digital subscribers and aggregates and analyzes data from over 700 million transactions per month.

Concurrent will be demonstrating its multi-screen video and MDAS solutions at booth number 621 at the Cable Show 2010 which takes place May 11-13, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles.
