Double Encore Completes Acquisition of iPhone Application Studio
Award-Winning Mobile Application Leader Prepares for Explosive Growth
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 13 -- Double Encore, Inc., a leader in branded mobile applications, today announced its acquisition of Massively Overrated, LLC, an iPhone application boutique known for cutting edge design and build quality.
Double Encore's world-class iPhone and iPad design and development services are in incredible demand; Q1 2010 revenues were up 220% from last year. The acquisition of Massively Overrated allows Double Encore to deliver more of the premium apps that brands desire.

Massively Overrated has a knack for laser-targeting their audience and delivering tremendous craftsmanship. The studio's first app, Coathangr, was designed to serve fashion-centric microbloggers. More recently, the team developed the iPhone version of Typewar, a multiplayer typography game that is incredibly popular with graphic designers. Their work has been featured on the App Store, has received rave reviews from sites like The Unofficial Apple Weblog and Just Another iPhone Blog, and continues to elicit praise from users.
