APPCON(TM) 2010 Session Lineup Covers Mobile Apps From All Angles

World's Only App-Centric, Vendor-Neutral Conference Offers Comprehensive Tracks for App Developers, IT Experts and Entrepreneurs

LAS VEGAS, March 25 -- Organizers of APPCON(TM), the world's only mobile App-centric forum, today released the lineup for its August event featuring more than 40 educational sessions covering all aspects of the mobile App market. The sessions promise to deliver the most comprehensive, vendor-neutral look at the leading and emerging mobile App trends at a practical and technical level to provide the foundation required to move mobile App development to the next level.

Organized into three tracks--App development, IT integration and the business of Apps--the APPCON(TM) educational program covers Apps for all vendors and platforms, providing a more holistic approach to technical proficiency and market opportunities than other platform-specific events offer.

"Most of the sessions are cross-platform to provide a broad overview of the development and business environment surrounding each," said Jeff Pressman, COO of ConvExx, a full-service show and event production company based in Las Vegas that is co-producing the event. "But, there will also be specific sessions on timely topics, like beginner and advanced development for the iPad, that offer a deeper dive into the technical aspects for the specific platform."

Unique to APPCON(TM) is the entrepreneurial twist to the program. The App business is exploding, with many players in the game--from indie developers and larger App shops to enterprise businesses and big brands looking to leverage the mobile movement to grow their business. APPCON(TM) sessions blend these perspectives with topics that range from 2D/3D barcoding, game development, HTML5, augmented reality, security concerns, mapping Apps and multimedia integration.

  Session tracks include:
--  Developer: technical sessions for developers, architects and technical
managers covering location-based services, cross-platform integration
      and gaming.
--  IT: technical/management sessions for IT experts evaluating, designing
or implementing mobile support in the enterprise, with topics
including MS Exchange integration, mobile App security and compliance
      issues.
--  Business: sessions covering the business, legal, sales, marketing and
other aspects, including a special focus on small businesses and
      startups.

Case studies will also be presented to highlight best practices and success in mobile App development and integration.

"APPCON(TM) is a great place for established or aspiring App developers to build their essential skill set to meet the growing demand for innovative, exciting Apps and advance their career," said Bryan Scott, CEO of Taptopia, a global provider of mobile technology solutions for event organizers, convention centers and their related vendors. "And, the event gives developers and business leaders the opportunity to network and explore potential partnerships for business development."

APPCON(TM) attendees can choose a single track and attend most or all sessions within that area, or they may pick and choose sessions of interest from any track offered.

Another unique feature to APPCON(TM) is the Fast Pitch program that is half social event, half App showcase. Fast Pitch marries business with pleasure, featuring cocktails, food and as many six-minute App demos as possible in one evening.

A Hackathon contest is also part of the program, pitting developer teams against one another in a battle for App supremacy. Through a partnership with one of the world's most innovative robotics companies, APPCON(TM) participants will be able to get their hands on the latest robotic gear and have a chance to win prizes for their App coding prowess.

Attending or exhibiting at APPCON(TM) is inexpensive, with all-inclusive packages covering booth space and conference registration fees for one set price. Rooms at the Paris Hotel start at just $69 a night, and rooms at the connecting Bally's Resort start at just $49.
