Distributing In-House Apps Now a Snap for Apple iPhones

Ondeego Announces AppCentral(TM) for iPhone

LAS VEGAS, March 22 -- CTIA -- Ondeego, the leader in Enterprise Mobile App Management for the fully empowered mobile company, today announced the public beta of AppCentral for iPhone, the first installation and deployment system for in-house iPhone apps.

Delivered as a cloud service, AppCentral allows enterprises and developers to manage the discovery, distribution, installation, and deletion of apps on mobile phones.  Increasingly, enterprises are moving to a device management model that encourages employees to bring their own phones to work.  AppCentral powers this new trend by giving enterprises the ability to secure their corporate applications on personal devices without interfering with personal data or personal use.

With the addition of iPhone support, AppCentral can now manage large deployments of iPhones in business environments. Companies enrolled in Apple's iPhone Developer Enterprise Program can use AppCentral  to install custom, enterprise apps directly onto their employees' iPhones without using the AppStore. AppCentral for iPhone streamlines the discovery and download of custom apps, making installation as easy as using iTunes. Now, enterprises can quickly deploy in-house apps, employees can manage custom apps directly from their desktop iTunes instance, and developers can rapidly test and deploy new enterprise apps.

"AppCentral's support of the iPhone makes the iPhone even more attractive than it already is for our Enterprise customers,"  said Ken Singer, CEO of Ondeego.  "Enterprise customers can now quickly and easily manage in-house business apps on the iPhone alongside other phones such as the BlackBerry and Java Phones."

AppCentral for iPhone also helps the internal developer as well as the contract developer.  "No longer do we need to sit for days upon end in a client's conference room, waiting for employees to come in to get their new apps installed on their iPhones," said John Stafira, CEO of Stafira. "With AppCentral, we can now electronically deliver the apps that we build for our clients who can test them and give us their approval.  Once approved, the employee can directly install the application on their iPhone themselves."
