Business Summit Draws Nationally-Recognized Industry Experts

WEST CHESTER, Pa., March 15 -- Nationally-recognized social media experts are among the first wave of speakers announced for the upcoming SocialMediaPlus one-day business summit in Philadelphia. The event, planned for May 25 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, is expected to draw more than 1,000 participants from the mid-Atlantic region.

Rohit Bhargava, best selling author and senior vice president for digital strategy at Ogilvy, one of the world's top marketing agencies, will deliver the keynote address. Nationally-recognized social media experts Jason Falls of Social Media Explorer, Shel Holtz of Holtz Communications and Technology, and Beth Harte of Serengeti Communications and author of the industry blog The Harte of Marketing, are among the leading presenters. Other recognized speakers include:

  --  Garth Moulton, founder of Jigsaw, an online directory of business
      contact and company information
  --  Valeria Maltoni, founder and author of Conversation Agent, a marketing
      blog consistently ranked among the top 150 in the industry
  --  Shashi Bellamkonda, head of social media strategies for Network
      Solutions
  --  Richard Pesce, senior manager, social media communications for
      Sprint/Nextel
  --  Bill Lublin, chief executive officer of Social Media Marketing
      Institute, an association dedicated to the continued development of
      the industry
  --  Whitney Hoffman, chief executive officer for Hoffman Digital Media,
      and organizer of PodCAMP Philly
  --  Sue Marks, chief executive officer for Pinstripe Talent, a leading
      human resources and recruitment management company
  --  Gloria Bell, founder of Red Stapler Consulting and Co-chair of the
      Social Media Club Philadelphia chapter.

Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks, along with a complete schedule of seminars and other events.

The one-day SocialMediaPlus summit features four education tracks - Executive, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, and IT - and 28 seminars where business owners, executives, vice presidents, directors and managers will learn proven strategies and tactics for utilizing social media and the technology that drives it. The curriculum was planned by a group of leading social media professionals and is endorsed by the Social Media Club of Philadelphia. Planned session topics include:
