Premium On-Demand Video Service Offers Extensive Catalog of 4K and HDR Titles
IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- VIZIO, Inc. announced today the integration of FandangoNOW into the VIZIO SmartCast app. The premium on-demand video service joins other VIZIO SmartCast-enabled apps like VUDU, Hulu and Google Play Movies & TV, allowing consumers to easily search for content they want to watch and then simply tap to stream from their mobile device to a VIZIO SmartCast display. Consumers can control their VIZIO SmartCast displays from any room in the home by using the VIZIO SmartCast app on the VIZIO SmartCast Tablet Remote or a personal iOS or Android mobile device.

The newly enhanced VIZIO SmartCast app provides users with a faster all-around content aggregation experience. Rather than jumping between apps, the VIZIO SmartCast app allows users to search and browse content by scouring genres across multiple apps at once and then select the app or source of their choice to play the content on the at-home big screen. The user experience is further enhanced with accessibility to new release movies and next-day TV shows to rent or buy from FandangoNOW with no required subscription. Consumers can easily browse content options from FandangoNOW alongside content catalogs from other popular apps, making for a quicker, more seamless search and discovery experience(1).
