ELECOM Launches Two Series of Stereo Headphones Designed by Manga Artist Shirow Masamune: One Hi-res Type and Two Models Tuned for Anime Songs
OSAKA, Japan, Oct. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Shirow Masamune, author of world-famous manga series such as "Appleseed" and "Ghost In The Shell", has once again collaborated with ELECOM (http://www.elecom.net?grid=prn161018) to create two series of headphones: a Hi-Res model and anime song exclusive models.

Thanks to dual dynamic drivers, dia. 11.6 mm and 12.5 mm, the Hi-Res stereo headphones (EHP-SH1000) reproduce high resolution sound in wide ranges ÂÂ-- from low to mid-frequencies up to high to ultra high frequencies. Also, by employing the "Coaxial In-Phase Drive System", powerful and clear sound is reproduced. Plus, the magnetic resistance between the two drivers intensifies the magnetic flux density, enabling excellent high-response driving. The dia. 11.6 mm driver supporting the high to ultra high frequency range employs a multilayer film diaphragm and external magnet dynamic driver, the "ELECOM Torus External Magnet Driver" ('ETEM driver'), for clear high frequencies.
The central tone hole going through the ball piece of the ETEM driver delivers sound from the lower ranges straight to the sound tube, enabling powerful bass. Light but robust ultra-hard aluminum housings shut out excess vibration from the driver yokes and faithfully reproduce sound signals from the diaphragm.
Each cable's ground wire is split into four independent wires, successfully reducing static noise and electromagnetic noise while increasing the acoustic effect and delivering tight bass. The detachable cable's MMCX terminal is made of oxygen-free copper wires for smooth high-pitch sound while suffering little from signal degradation.
The product comes with two types of cables to connect audio devices or smartphones. The microphone-attached cable also has a remote control.
The other two models (EHP-SL100 series) are stereo headphones tuned perfectly for anime songs, which are fully recreated via their powerful bass and clear extending vocals. The dia. 10 mm dynamic driver employs a highly rigid titanium-coated diaphragm for rich bass and transparent treble. The diaphragm's surface employs forty ribs preventing deformation of the vibrating membrane and abnormal vibrations, for a linear output characteristic with low distortion.
All three models have highly soundproofed two-stage adjustable "deep-fitting ear caps" with greater air-tightness to assure a powerful bass, as well as a snug fit.
