MIAMI, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Millions of Americans buy pink-themed products in October to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but for some populations - such as the incarcerated - access to those purchases are limited or non-existent. This year, JPay partnered with the American Cancer Society to ensure that inmates can participate in the fight against a disease that takes thousands of lives each year. Typically constructed out of clear, polycarbonate plastic, JPay manufactured limited edition pink-colored JP5s 7" tablets and pink-colored tablet cases which are available in North Dakota, Ohio and Washington prisons, as well as the Northlake facility in Michigan. The pink-colored JP5s 7" tablet comes with all the bells and whistles as the clear model, including music, games, education, email and much more so inmates can stay connected with their loved ones! However, the pink model physically symbolizes an inmate's support in the fight against breast cancer, demonstrating that even while serving time, offenders can play a role in eradicating diseases and positively participate in the community.
"Sadly, it's rare to meet someone who has not been affected by breast cancer, which is why we felt compelled to create the opportunity for inmates to participate in the fight against the disease," said Errol Feldman, CEO of JPay.
