Chinese UAV Maker FLYPRO Launches World's Most "Extreme Sports" FPV Professional Racing Drone XJaguar

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading intelligent sports drone producer, Shenzhen-based FLYPRO Aerospace Tech Co., Ltd., on the 23(rd) of September, launched a new model drone, the XJaguar, alleged to be the most "extreme sports" professional low-profile racing drone available on the market to date. The XJaguar is the only exclusive professional racing model customized for first-person-view (FPV) players and racing drone professionals. Equipped with the 8-in-1 tower structure patented technology that FLYPRO originated, the very "extreme sports" XJaguar has also adopted a full array of competition-level equipment and embedded some key electronic features including, among others, an electronic speed controller, a pilot control board and a video transmitter.

With a $US 1 million prize in the offing and a plethora of breathtaking FPV racing videos on YouTube, World Drone Prix 2016 Dubai has attracted professional pilots from all over the world. Drone racing is a relatively new sport, however, it is proving to be quite a bit more entertaining, and to have a more promising market, than drone photography. The Paris Drone Festival held on the iconic Avenue des Champs-Élysées this September has brought the interest in drone racing to a new climax. Drone-related events are being held every month all over the world, with mainstream TV networks such as ESPN showing active interest and involvement. Drone racing is quickly becoming a recognized competitive sport.

So far most players are do-it-yourselfers and assemble their first racing drone (many call it a "flyover") from a kit, giving rise to compatibility problems among the myriad brands, especially around the complex wiring and the excessive number of soldering points. All one can fine across the rapidly growing racing drone market are entry-level complete products, yet, to date, not a single competition-oriented professional racing drone. In Shenzhen, "the capital of drones", with its multitude of drone producers and the broad and promising market that they can look forward to, it is not a surprise that some of these manufacturers have already put in place a well-thought out roadmap for market entry and expansion.

FLYPRO XJaguar has adopted a red and black design for a clean-cut appearance without externally exposing the 4 electronic speed controllers and the complicated wiring. An aluminum alloy jaguar head adds another level of uniqueness to the design.

Due to its pioneering innovation in technology, the application of the 8-in-1 tower structure patented technology, the highly integrated 4-in-1 electronic speed controller and the video transmitter with OSD (on screen display), the drone has avoided the complex wiring that hobbles many of the existing drones, and succeeded in delivering a light and clean appearance, a centralized barycenter, flexible turning ability and higher flying efficiency.

These are the elements that have placed the XJaguar into the extreme sports category:

--  A well-configured dynamic power system with parameter optimization.
--  Adoption of the same 2205 motor, as used by Luke Bannister, the first
World Drone Prix Champion in Dubai. This 5045 tri-bladed propeller
model, with single motor traction force reaching 1300g and a 10:1 whole
body thrust-weight ratio, is by far the most mainstreamed high-end,
        high-powered motor.
--  America's ROC competition battery with an amazing discharge rate of 100C
(most batteries on the market top out at 75C) has assured the
high-powered drone a stronger driving force as well as a longer period
        of uninterrupted flight.
--  Based on drone racks deployed at the World Drone Prix in Dubai, the
Asian Cup and other competitions, the X-shaped rack has more advantages
than H-shaped ones in racing competitions and air performance as it is
smaller, lighter and more flexible in terms of direction control.
The XJaguar retails at 1799 yuan, an extraordinary price point in terms of cost performance when compared with an assembled drone with the same level of equipment, something that would cost more than 3000 yuan. The core part, the Tower, retails at 799 yuan, is a better choice for do-it-yourselfers who prefer to assemble their own.

The reason that racing drones have gone viral worldwide in such a short time, just as F1 equation racing once did, is because of the ultimate experience and entertainment value that the FPV, the track competition, the high-speed flight and the group participation has delivered to players as well as to audiences.

FLYPRO, in a move to further promote the development of the racing drone industry and to encourage the development of a racing drone culture, has formally started a program to groom future champions and to double the amount of available prize money by working with worldwide drone racing competitions including 3DXAsia Pacific 2016 and the 2016 World Drone Racing Championships at Kualoa Ranch, Hawaii.
