Casio To Showcase Portfolio Of Digital Pianos At Summer NAMM 2016

New GP-400BK, Privia PX-160, and CGP-700 Digital Pianos Strike a Chord at Casio's Booth

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio America, Inc. is excited to announce that it has once again returned to one of America's most musical cities and will showcase its extended portfolio of digital pianos, arrangers and keyboards during Summer NAMM 2016 in Nashville, TN. Casio's advanced electronic musical instruments, including the new Celviano Grand Hybrid GP-400, Privia PX-160, CGP-700 Compact Grand Piano, and more will be on display at the company's booth (#431) from June 23(rd) to June 25(th).

"Casio is extremely excited to be headed to Nashville to showcase its newest digital pianos from an ever-expanding portfolio," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio's Electronic Musical Instrument Division. "From our latest introduction - the GP-400 - to our CGP-700 and industry-leading Privia line, Casio is on a mission to provide instruments that make it easy for users to embrace their love of music through ground-breaking technology and innovative design."

GP-400 Grand Hybrid Piano
The GP-400 is the newest addition to the CELVIANO Grand Hybrid line and comes equipped with Casio's AiR Grand Sound Source, which accurately reproduces the complex tone, mechanical sounds, and atmospheric qualities of a grand piano. The GP-400 replicates three world-class pianos with detailed String, Damper, and Aliquot Resonance to convey every acoustic nuance. Additionally, Casio's Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard enables even more delicate expression. The GP-400's keys are finished in the same way as a grand piano's, and its multichannel Grand Acoustic system generates a three-dimensional sound field from above and below the soundboard. Through careful positioning of six speakers throughout the instrument's cabinet, the system delivers an immersive atmosphere that recreates the experience of playing and listening to a grand piano.

PRIVIA PX-160
The latest addition to Casio's well-known Privia line of digital pianos is the PX-160, which also features Casio's AiR technology. The multi-dimensional AiR sound generation included in the PX-160 features the sound of a 9-foot concert grand at four dynamic levels. The PX-160 has a redesigned dual 8W speaker system with speakers on the top and rear panels, providing remarkable sound which projects directly towards both the player and the audience. The Privia PX-160 also features left and right 1/4" audio outputs, making it easy for musicians to connect to other devices for external amplification or recording purposes. In addition, the PX-160 utilizes Casio's remarkable Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II keyboard which features simulated ebony and ivory-textured keys for a realistic piano touch.

CGP-700 Compact Grand Piano
Casio's CGP-700 Compact Grand Piano delivers an authentic piano feel that musicians expect in a grand piano in a more compact design. The CGP-700 features Casio's Tri-Sensor 88-note scaled hammer action keyboard with simulated ebony and ivory keys. The CGP-700 is equipped with Casio's Color Touch Interface(TM), a premium icon-based 5.3" touch display. This bright, clear interface allows musicians to easily choose tones, select rhythms, split and layer sounds. Instrument tones and rhythms - including a meticulously recorded 9-foot concert grand piano - are organized by category for easy selection. Extensive production features, such as USB audio recording, a 17-track MIDI recorder, and class-compliant USB connectivity are also built in. Lastly, the CGP-700 also incorporates a unique six-speaker sound system with 40 watts of total amplification. Four speakers are located in the top of the CGP-700 which provides a powerful stereo experience, and two additional speakers are located in the included wooden stand, in order to handle low frequencies from instruments like the bass and the drums.
