UniPixel Announces 15th Design Win in 2016
New 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop to feature XTouch(TM) with Diamond Guard(TM)
SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- UniPixel, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNXL), a provider of advanced touch solutions to the touchscreen and flexible electronics markets, today announced its 15(th) design win in 2016 for a 2-in-1 convertible laptop targeted for the education market by an existing customer.
The device will be an 11.6-inch 2-in-1 convertible notebook that will leverage XTouch metal mesh touch sensor technology to deliver superior active stylus performance. The program is expected to enter production in late fourth quarter 2016. The announcement of this new product win, plus the 3 programs originally acquired from Atmel, and the one product announced late in 2015, brings to 19 the total number of programs awarded to UniPixel. The 2-in-1 category is a fast growing market opportunity for UniPixel since these versatile and lightweight devices all feature stylus capabilities that play to the XTouch sensor strengths. UniPixel now has 10 wins for 2-in-1 devices.
