"The innovations showcased at EuroCucina reflect Whirlpool Corporation's global approach to consumer- centric innovation," said Subho Moulik, Head of Global Innovation for Whirlpool Corporation. "Through surveys and interviews conducted with more than 3,000 households across the EMEA region, we gathered important insights into the relationship between cooking and food for home cooks, and what features we need to bring to their kitchens as that relationship evolves. It's that type of purposeful innovation that we're proud to be sharing this week in Milan."

Whirlpool Corporation is showcasing appliances across all brands that represent the latest trends in home kitchen innovation and design. These trends include:

--  Connected Home & Smart Appliances: Internet-connected appliances are
beginning to interact more closely and intelligently with users,
learning their habits and helping them accomplish tasks more
efficiently. Appliances on display from Whirlpool Corporation brands
offer these interactions, with intuitive touch interfaces that guide
home cooks through each step of their food preparation.
--  Growing Culinary Exploration & Ambition among Home Cooks: According to
the Hotpoint Taste Exploration Survey 2016, food preparation is becoming
increasingly associated with the pursuit of pleasure. Cooking is valued
as a form of self-expression and with that, consumers now want
appliances that are flexible enough to allow greater experimentation in
the kitchen and feature functions that enhance the enjoyment of cooking.
--  More Efficiencies & Conveniences for Families: Intuition and ease-of-use
are two important attributes families seek in their appliances.
According to the Whirlpool brand SmartCook survey, in response to the
pressures of modern life consumers are focusing more on making and
taking the time to enjoy the present, and explore in greater depth the
possibilities of one's own life - maximizing every aspect of today.
