Wileyfox Named Challenger Manufacturer of the Year

Less than six months since shipping its first smartphone, British manufacturer
Wileyfox has been named Challenger Manufacturer of the Year by Mobile News. The award
ceremony, held this evening at the London Hilton, Park Lane, saw Wileyfox triumph over a
field of longer-established competitors.
The Award seals six months of phenomenal success from the brand, which launched in
August 2015 with two, contract-free, dual SIM smartphones: Wileyfox Swift and Wileyfox
Storm. Available online only, the Swift shot to pole position on Amazon in pre-orders
alone, and sold out within three days of going on sale. In December, it was named
Smartphone of the Year by Forbes magazine. Sales volume across the portfolio is triple the
pre-launch forecast and the London-based company is now expanding across Europe and
beyond.
