Infortrend EonStor DS 4000 Gen2 Storage Systems Now Support Converged Host Board with FCoE Integration
TAIPEI, Taiwan, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Infortrend® Technology, Inc. (TWSE: 2495) today announced FCoE connectivity support in its EonStor DS 4000 Gen2 Series converged host board, designed to provide hyper flexibility for storage configuration and deployment.

With four (4x) 10Gb/s FCoE ports per host board, Infortrend storage systems offer its customers the high Fibre Channel protocol performance and reliability but over Ethernet networks, which significantly simplifies systems' deployment.
Infortrend converged host board gives users the possibility to easily upgrade their storage systems to meet their changing data growth and storage infrastructure needs simply by switching between the 4 integrated host port types, including interchangeable 16Gb/s and 8Gb/s Fibre Channel, 10Gb/s iSCSI and the newly supported 10Gb/s FCoE ports.
In terms of configuration, a dual controller EonStor DS 4000 Gen2 system supports up to 20 iSCSI protocols (sixteen 10Gb/s iSCSI and four 1Gb/s iSCSI) or sixteen 8Gb/s or eight 16Gb/s Fibre Channel, or sixteen 10Gb/s FCoE.
