New App-Enhanced Product Enables Kids to Create Fun Videos Using Instant, High-Quality Special Effects
NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Toy Island is set to unveil a revolutionary way for kids to make videos during the North American International Toy Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The new product, Special FX Master, uses augmented reality technology to provide tweens and teens the opportunity to create one-of-kind videos featuring high-quality special effects. Special FX Master will be on display during Toy Fair from February 13-16, 2016 in booth #2D11.

Special FX Master is available in two different movie genre kits - Action Hero and Box of Horrors. Each kit contains five exclusive props for kids to feature in their videos, with 10 special effects per prop. Right before their eyes, props transform on screen and instantly add special effects while kids are recording. A plain wall prop quickly becomes a top secret entryway, and a wrist-prop is suddenly a fire blaster shooting lightning bolts! Kids can impress their friends and family by including everything from hologram calls and wrist computers to lashing lizard tongues and coffins in their videos.
After purchasing a kit at retail, the free app can be downloaded and young movie makers can select one of the props from the kit along with an awesome special effect. Then tweens and teens can let their imaginations run wild to create unique videos! The Special FX Master app will be available for iOS and Android devices in the App Store and on Google Play. Special FX Master will be available in Fall 2016 for a suggested retail price of $29.99 per kit.
