Bang & Olufsen launches BeoLink SmartHome at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2016
Bang & Olufsen has chosen ISE in Amsterdam, the world's best attended AV, System Integration and Communication exhibition, as the platform for launching a new and innovative way of connecting Bang & Olufsen products with all other technology products in the home through an open, cloud-based architecture called BeoLink SmartHome.
AMSTERDAM, Feb. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Systems Europe - The BeoLink SmartHome solution allows the user to connect Bang & Olufsen products with other technology products in the home and offers full integration with some of the largest home integrators such as Crestron, Control4 and Savant.

These experiences are now further extended with the BeoLink SmartHome, where a multitude of technologies can be integrated through a secure remote, cloud-based connection enabling a simple, intuitive control of hundreds of third-party devices and home automation systems.

New technologies and providers are continuously added. Recently, Nest security systems, thermostats, smoke detectors and Amazon Echo were included in the solution. The latter allows for performing voice-controlled commands. BeoLink SmartHome settings are changed and controlled using the Bang & Olufsen BeoRemote or BeoLink App.

Bang & Olufsen is among the first audio-video companies to offer an IFTTT-enabled channel in the Internet of Things (IoT) world. IFTTT (short for "If This Then That") allows users to create chains of simple conditional commands.
