Goosebumps Virtual Reality Experience App Launches On iOS And Android

CULVER CITY, Calif., Jan. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Take a wild ride with R.L. Stine (Jack Black) on your mobile device with the Goosebumps Virtual Reality Experience app debuting today from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE). Hop in the car and help Stine navigate the windy streets as you try to escape a ferocious, giant praying mantis. For a fully immersive experience, the app can be used on a compatible iPhone or Android smartphone with a virtual reality viewing device such as Merge VR Goggles or Google Cardboard. Users without VR Goggles or Google Cardboard can also enter the "360° video mode" and experience the exciting chase using only their mobile devices.
The Goosebumps VR app is available for free from the Apple App store and from Google Play.

Synopsis:
After moving to a small town, Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets next-door neighbor Hannah (Odeya Rush), the daughter of best-selling Goosebumps series author R.L. Stine (Jack Black). Stine is very mysterious and a prisoner of his own imagination - the monsters that his books made famous are real, and he protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their manuscripts. When the monsters are accidentally unleashed and begin to terrorize the town, it's up to Stine, Zach and Hannah to get them back in their books where they belong!
GOOSEBUMPS has a running time of 103 minutes and is rated PG for scary and intense creature action and images, and for some rude humor.
Virtual Reality mode requires a compatible VR viewing device like the Merge VR Goggles or Google Cardboard, and should be used while seated. All instructions included with the VR viewing device should be followed before use and such use should not continue if any discomfort or health reactions are experienced. The app may only be available for a limited time. The experience may not be suitable for viewers under seven years old.
