Samsung launches ATIV Book 9 Spin and ATIV Book 9 Pro, the first laptops to feature Assertive Display by Apical
The ATIV Book 9 range are the first laptops to take advantage of Assertive Display, already deployed widely in smartphones and tablets
LONDON, Jan. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Apical, developer of advanced imaging technologies for mobile devices, announces that Samsung uses Assertive Display to enhance the quality of its ATIV Book 9 Pro, a high-performance laptop with a 4K display, and the ATV 9 Book Spin, a 2-in-1 laptop.
Both products feature what Samsung calls "real-time HDR," controllable by the user via a dedicated function key, which are enabled by Assertive Display. Real-time HDR allows users to watch movies and play games even outdoors in sunshine, and also enables laptop brightness to be reduced to save battery without impacting the viewability of such content.
Assertive Display has already been widely adopted by leading smartphone and tablet makers worldwide, since it enables a high-quality, multimedia experience from darkness to bright sunlight, while at the same time conserving battery life.
