LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CES Booth #13228 - On the heels of introducing new products like selfie sticks and camera drones that feed consumers' appetite for fresh technology trends, Sakar International has again expanded its product development capabilities with the addition of branded kids' smartwatch cameras to its licensing portfolio. Each device includes a still camera, both video and audio recording, a fitness/activity tracker, and the ability to upload fitness data to a companion parent app via Bluetooth.

The company's first licensed smartwatch cameras, designed for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Hello Kitty brands, hit Toys 'R Us shelves in November. New versions for The Avengers, Batman, Littlest Pet Shop, Monster High, My Little Pony, Power Rangers, Spiderman, Transformers and others are scheduled for release in time for 2016 back-to-school shopping.
Retailing for $59.99, each touch screen-based smartwatch camera created by Sakar enables kids to:

-- Record voice messages with the built-in voice recorder
-- Document steps, distance and calories burned during activities such as
walking, running and jumping rope
-- Capture information on sleep patterns that affect health and weight

Each product also offers alarm, stop watch and timer functions; the ability to add fun photo effects, frames and fillers; a choice of more than 40 personalized icon combinations on the watch face; and a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery delivering hours of charge time when plugged into a USB port with the charging cable included in the package. The watch and band are available in different colors and logos matching each licensing platform.
