10,000 Video Game Creators are Already Using WiMi5

BILBAO, Spain and LOS ANGELES, October 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

        - One year after its launch, the online HTML5 game editor has reached over 10,000
          users.
        - WiMi5 is one of the two game creation tools recommended by Google Chrome Web Store.
        - The education sector has shown great interest in this tool, and several institutions
are already giving video game classes with WiMi5.
        - Several media outlets have described WiMi5 as the WordPress of video games, or the
          replacement for Flash.
        - Its founders are currently preparing a second round of investment to exponentially
          grow the community.

WiMi5 [http://wimi5.com ] is an HTML5 online game editor. In its first year, it has

Since its launch, WiMi5 has shown it's capable of completing the entire video game
lifecycle, with titles published in major portals and app stores. One example is "Ghost
It!", published on Google Play
[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wimi5.ghostit ], Amazon App Store
[http://www.amazon.com/WiMi5-Ghost-it/dp/B0130AABT6 ], Firefox Marketplace
[https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/ghost-it ], Chrome Web Store
[https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ghost-it/lndhdhjbnbajdeegodopcmodiomhhicm?hl=en ]
and several Web game portals [http://play.wimi5.com/puzzles-games/ghost-it ].

This first version is showing the high interest there is in the developer community
for this type of solutions. Leading stores like Google's Chrome Web Store already
recommend WiMi5 [https://developer.chrome.com/apps/game_engines#WiMi5 ] as one of the few
online solutions for creating web games. Other media label WiMi5 as the Wordpress of video
games [http://www.elmundo.es/economia/2014/03/17/5323427be2704ed9488b457f.html ],
validating the market's interest in this type of tools.

Right in the middle of the technological revolution on the web due to the HTML5
standard, WiMi5 has transcended the entertainment sector and is creating special interest
in sectors such as gamification and education, where there is high demand for interactive
web content.  Some initiatives, such as Aulamentor [http://www.aulamentor.es ], promoted
by the Spanish Ministry of Education, list WiMi5 as a substitute for Flash in game
creation. Other training centers, such as ViveLabs Bogota, are already giving WiMi5
classes [http://www.vivelabbogota.com/wimi5 ] to entrepreneurs in the audiovisual content
sector.

WiMi5 is now preparing a new round of investment internationally with expert investors
in the video game industry. The goal is to evolve the product and increase the developer
community exponentially.
