The new PlayOn also offers an upgrade to PlayOn Plus which unlocks the DVR features of recording streaming videos, automatic recording of new shows upon release (called subscriptions), and the ability to record all of the shows in a given series. It also unlocks the ability to stream or cast to Roku, Chromecast, Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, or 20 other set-top devices and Internet-connected TVs. PlayOn Plus also allows customers to use a mobile device, gives them the freedom to move recordings to any device, and to watch recordings ad-free with AdSkip. Upgrading to PlayOn Plus is a simple in-app purchase of $4.99/month, $39.99/year or $59.99 lifetime fee.
