Socket Mobile Releases Updated SDK With Support For Apple® iOS 9
NEWARK, Calif., Sept. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Socket Mobile, Inc. (OTC: SCKT), a leading innovator of data capture and delivery solutions for enhanced productivity, today released the latest version of their industry leading Cordless Hand Scanner Software Developer Kit (SDK), SocketScan version 10.2. The latest version is compatible with Apple's iOS 9 operating system, Google's Android M (Marshmallow) and Microsoft® Windows® 10 and includes many new features, benefits and improvements including faster Bluetooth reconnect times.
The SDK is used by Socket Mobile's thriving developer community of over 1,400 developers to incorporate the use of Socket Mobile barcode scanners into their applications. This latest release continues Socket Mobile's commitment to its developer community to stay compatible with operating system changes as they occur.
Along with support for iOS 9, the SocketScan 10.2 library is compiled with Apple's new Bitcode feature. By using Bitcode, the application delivers optimized performance for the end user's Apple product automatically -- when it is downloaded from the App Store.

For iOS developers SocketScan 10.2 is now packaged for the CocaPods dependency manager for Swift and Objective-C Cocoa projects. The NuGet packaging tool which is also supported provides similar productivity benefits for the Windows platform.
Support for Android's Maven package manger will come in a future release.
