Stitcher Added To SUBARU STARLINK In-Car Infotainment Systems

SUBARU STARLINK, Powered by Clarion's Smart Access Connectivity Platform, Allows Users to Access and Control Select Mobile Apps Directly from the Screen of their Car's Infotainment System

CYPRESS, Calif., May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Clarion Corporation of America, a leader in consumer and commercial mobile electronics, announced today that Stitcher is now available on the SUBARU STARLINK platform. The SUBARU STARLINK infotainment systems found in Subaru vehicles utilizes Clarion's advanced Smart Access(TM) cloud connectivity platform to seamlessly sync and control cloud based applications directly with the infotainment system's screen, providing immediate access to Stitcher without having to update system software.     

"With long-term growth projected for on-demand radio shows and podcasts, and research supporting consumption of this type of content increasing more than 15 percent last year alone, the addition of Stitcher to the list of apps  available on the free SUBARU STARLINK  app is great news for Subaru owners," stated Anthony Landamia, Infotainment Product Manager at Subaru. Subaru owners will be able to enjoy a fully integrated Stitcher app experience in the car, delivering over 40,000 radio shows and podcasts to customers. The integration will allow listeners to access up-to-the-minute episodes of their favorite radio programs, create playlists of their favorites, and stream them directly to the vehicle's system via their iPhone or Android device.
