Casio Introduces New Line Of Electronic Cash Registers

New SE-S100 is a Versatile and Stylish Point of Sale Terminal with SD Card and Alpha Character Support

DOVER, N.J., March 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Casio America, Inc. brings style and versatility to the point of sale (POS) terminal space with the introduction of the SE-S100 line of electronic cash registers for small and medium-sized businesses. Available in three dynamic metallic colors including gold, silver, and red, the SE-S100 series offers a range of new features including SD card support, alpha character printing and a two-line operator display.

"The ability to accurately process transactions and track sales is the heart of any business," said Lawrence Sampey, General Manager of Casio's Systems Products Division. "We're very excited to offer this enhanced feature-set with the new SE-S100 and deliver on Casio's mission to merge form and function with stylish design, all in one affordable package."

With its SD card compatibility, the SE-S100 enables business owners to easily transfer product information and brand descriptors, pricing tables, and sales data from their PC to the SD card which can be easily uploaded to the SE-S100. To provide business owners with greater flexibility and additional descriptive information about the merchandise that they stock, the SE-S100 has the ability to store up to 2,000 price look ups (PLUs). The SE-S100 includes an electronic journal function which allows sales transactions and history to be stored in a built-in memory and retrieved later for analysis and financial purposes.

The SE-S100 offers the ability to print alpha characters in both English and Spanish, and features a large backlit two-line LCD screen display that enables the business owner to easily read the items on the check-out display, even in dimly lit environments. A built-in one-line customer display builds consumer confidence by providing the ability to observe and confirm transactions, thus reducing check-out errors. The alpha character compatibility, coupled with ability to input data via PC, provides business owners with an easier and more efficient method of entering, changing, and storing data.

Designed for maximum operability, the SE-S100 has an easy-to-use keyboard, ergonomic design, and quick access buttons to call up frequently used functions. A high-performance thermal printer offers quiet operation and sharp, high-resolution printing, a maximum of 10 lines per second. The drop-in paper loading makes paper roll replacement quick and easy.

Beginning in April, the SE-S100 will be available through Casio's eCommerce channel partners, select mass merchants, and on http://www.ShopCasio.com for an MSRP of $149.99. For additional information on Casio's full portfolio of POS and electronic cash registers, please visit http://www.casio.com.
