Computer Systems Institute Adds Cisco Training to Networking Career Program

32-Week Program Now Offers 2 Tracks Including Preparation for Cisco Certification Exams

CHICAGO, March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Systems Institute (CSI), a provider of 32-week career training programs at multiple Chicago-area campuses, today announced the addition of two new Networking Career Program options that include preparation for key Cisco certification exams that can help graduates secure entry-level IT jobs.  The program now offers three different tracks enabling students to select their preferred areas of IT specialization.

The new Cisco/MCSA track combines training in the configuration and administration of small enterprise branch networks with instruction in the Windows 7 operating system and Windows 7 desktop support. The curriculum prepares students to earn Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications, along with Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) 70-680 and 70-685 credentials.

The new CompTIA A+/Cisco track offers the same classes in enterprise network management plus training in maintaining PC's, laptops, mobile devices, operating systems and printers across technologies from multiple vendors. Classes prepare students to pass CompTIA A+ 801 and 802 certification exams as well as to pursue Cisco CCENT and CCNA certifications.

Students can also select the CompTIA/MCSA track to focus on basic hardware and software competency and troubleshooting in preparation for the CompTIA A+ 801/802 and MCSA 70-680/70-865 certification exams.

All three tracks include extensive hands-on experience in the school's computer labs, can be completed in 32 weeks, and offer morning, afternoon, evening and weekend classes. CSI pays for certification exams for all students who successfully complete any of the school's certificate programs, ensuring that an inability to pay costly exam fees will not delay graduates' certification efforts and associated job searches.

"We have seen increasing demand by both employers and students for Cisco certifications demonstrating basic networking knowledge. That's because so many companies are looking for job candidates who can wear multiple hats, including both computer and network technician," said Adam Hitzeman, CSI Director of Marketing. "With our two new Networking Career Program tracks, students now have more choices to differentiate themselves in the job market."

All CSI Networking Career Program options are available at the school's Chicago Loop, Skokie, Gurnee and Elgin campuses. For more information, call 847-967-4030 or email inquiries@csinow.com.
