Amprobe PK-110 Electrical Test Kit fills homeowner needs for everyday electrical testing

EVERETT, Wash., March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Amprobe(®) introduces the PK-110 Electrical Test Kit featuring three electrical testers with functions ideal for a variety of residential applications. The kit, which includes the AM-420 Digital Multimeter, VP-1000 Non-Contact Voltage Detector, and ST-102B Socket Tester with Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI), performs a variety of tests from identifying voltage presence in outlets and switches to confirming proper wiring of regular and GFCI protected outlets.

The AM-420 Digital Multimeter accurately measures voltage up to 250 V in receptacles, switches, extension cords, and light fixtures, and troubleshoots light bulbs and fuses with its continuity function. The CAT II 250V safety rated meter can check 1.5 and 9 V batteries, test extension cords, and verify the proper wiring of an outlet with its voltage function.
The VP-1000 Non-Contact Voltage Detector easily and safely detects the presence of AC voltage between 90 and 1000 V in outlets, switches, extension cords, circuit breakers, and fuses without disconnecting the electrical system. The CAT IV 1000 V safety rated tester's bright LED alerts users when voltage is present and operates as always on using low power circuitry with no buttons for increased safety.
The ST-102B Socket Tester with GFCI tests receptacle wiring and confirms GFCI sockets are properly wired with the push of a button. It can detect five different wiring faults with three illuminated lights to clearly indicate the type of wiring problem:
