Redefined Imaging: Ziehm Imaging Presents Revolution in 3D Imaging at ECR 2015

VIENNA and NUREMBERG, Germany, March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

At this year's ECR, innovation leader Ziehm Imaging showcases its comprehensive C-arm
portfolio under the theme "Redefined Imaging". Ziehm Vision RFD 3D, the world's only 3D
C-arm with flat-panel technology that provides a 16 cm edge length per scan volume will be
on display for the first time in Europe. The new Ziehm Remote Service that offers clinical
users faster diagnosis and troubleshooting for optimized uptime is now available for the
newest generation of Ziehm Imaging mobile C-arms.

    The future of 3D imaging

Ziehm Vision RFD 3D combines 2D and 3D functionality to offer maximum intraoperative
control in orthopedics, traumatology and spine surgery. The new Ziehm Imaging flagship
system is the only 3D C-arm that combines a 25 kW generator with iterative reconstruction
algorithm and patented SmartScan rotation to allow for 180degree(s) image information of
any anatomical structure. With up to 7 vertebrae in one scan volume, it offers the largest
3D image volume in the market.

Ziehm Vision RFD 3D is 30% smaller than traditional 3D C-arms and up to 60% more
lightweight than alternative mobile imaging solutions. This allows the OR staff to easily
position the C-arm in the OR and to manually transport it from one OR to another.

Ziehm Remote Service for optimized uptime

The new Ziehm Remote Service offers clinical users faster diagnosis and
troubleshooting for optimized uptime. Ziehm Imaging service experts can directly assess
the status of the mobile C-arm and in many cases resolve the incident immediately. In
cases where the problem cannot be solved remotely the service expert can often identify
the cause of the incident or the components that have failed and can arrange for the
required spare parts or a service engineer to be sent to the clinical site. This approach
ensures quicker system recovery and shorter interruptions of the clinical workflow.
