TCL Communication Announces Shipment Figures of Handsets and Other Products for January
TAIPEI, Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TCL Communication Technology Holdings Limited ("TCL Communication" or the "Company" which, together with its subsidiaries and its affiliates, is referred to as the "Group"; HKSE stock code: 02618) today announced the unaudited figures for shipments of handsets and other products forJanuary 2015. The Group's total sales volume of handsets and other products forJanuary 2015 increased by 10% year-on-year to 5,740,000 units. The sales volume of handsets and other products in the overseas markets for the month amounted to 4,601,000 units, while that inChina was 1,139,000 units, up by 202% year-on-year. The Group has achieved sales volume of smart devices at 3,761,000 units inJanuary 2015, up 63% year-on-year and accounted for 66% of the total shipment for the month.
In January 2015, TCL Communication continued its marketing and promotion efforts in order to sustain brand awareness and recognition.ALCATEL ONETOUCH has extended its partnership as exclusive presenting sponsor withThe Color Run to sponsor their2015 Shine Tour to more than 1 million participants in around 130 cities inNorth America, where it brought in smart technology in selected markets to enhance "The Happiest 5K" running experience for the participants. With RFID connected bracelets, runners are able to capture and share their favourite moments quickly and easily via social channels. This move of bringing smart technology to the mass market had aligned perfectly with the event goal of bringing health and fun to everyone.
