Icontrol Networks and Lowe's to Offer Customers More Smart Home Options
Lowe's Iris products joining Icontrol's OpenHome(TM) ecosystem of connected products; Lowe's to feature OpenHome brand in stores to guide shoppers looking for customizable smart homes
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Icontrol Networks, the company behind the most widely used connected home platform in the industry, today announced its partnership with leading home improvement retailer Lowe's to offer more choices for customers who want to make their homes and lives smarter. Starting in early 2015, many Lowe's Iris smart home devices will be certified through Icontrol's OpenHome(TM) Developer Program, allowing these devices to work seamlessly with Icontrol-powered solutions.
Lowe's will also help customers determine product capability by featuring the OpenHome brand mark both online and in stores. An in-aisle electronic display will help customers sort products by OpenHome device compatibility and the service providers they use. Consumers can also use the co-branded OpenHome website to do research from the comfort of their own homes.
