Car Connection Adds 16 Insurance Carriers To Its Insurance Discount Program
Major insurance carriers join the program to save subscribers an average of 15% on their car insurance
HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. and LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- LVCC, CENTRAL HALL, BOOTH 10417 - VOXX Electronics Corporation (VEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX), today announced a dramatic expansion of the Car Connection Insurance Discount Program that now includes 16 participating insurance carriers. This program is a result of VOXX International Corporation's direct collaboration with Agnik, a data company for connected cars with a strong portfolio in the insurance market. This program will allow more consumers to save hundreds of dollars on their car insurance and it is all included in the Car Connection subscription service. Typically an average consumer can save up to 10-20% on their annual policy, which could equate to hundreds of dollars of savings per year. Savings may vary for each user.
"Car Connection was the first company to launch a retail after-market program back in June 2014 with the support of three insurance carriers," said Dan Murphy, VP of Telematics, VOXX Electronics. "Today we announce the inclusion of 16 new insurance carries in the program that allows consumers to access a unique insurance discount program to help save on their insurance costs. Millions of drivers are already saving money from this type of program but it was not readily available at retail channels until now."
Once a consumer purchases the Car Connection system and subscribes to the service plan, they can then join the Insurance Discount Program. It's simple: Users need only to register with any of the participating insurance carriers to let them review their driving habits for at least 50 miles with the Car Connection device. After they have driven the required miles the selected insurance carrier will send them a quote for a new insurance policy.
Car Connection provides many other services and benefits such as convenience and diagnostic services that help improve vehicle and driver performance. The self-installed OBD II offers a combination of services that include safety, savings, security and remote services for less than $10 per month and does not require an activation fee or contract. Car Connection can also offer consumers other saving opportunities with fuel reports and vehicle health services, all available as part of the monthly subscription fee.
The Car Connection Insurance Discount will also be using Agnik Vyncs(TM) powered services.
The new insurance carriers participating in the program will be launched on Car Connection's website by February 1, 2015.
