New Social Media Platform Qwikword Launches and Begins the One Word Revolution

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The unveiling of the new social media app, Qwikword, which is based on one-word immediate reactions to visual stimuli, took place today from the company's corporate offices in New York City.

Qwikword, an instantaneously engaging application that provides users with "sparks," a continuous stream of visual stimuli in the form of pictures, videos and the best of the web, as prompts for one-word immediate reactions. These words, called Qwikwords, become the catalyst for linking the global community.

According to Qwikword CEO/Co-Founder, Italian entrepreneur, Gianmarco Crismale, "Qwikword was born from a simple idea that took over a year of conceptualizing, development, Beta testing, and attention to detail to develop an easy-to-use, ever-changing platform that would connect and open a network of users that wanted the opportunity to move beyond simply hitting a 'like' button. With Qwikword, users can see how other people react to the same spark. During our soft launch we were ecstatic with how users were generating their own sparks and began to immediately build connections and conversations with other users."

Qwikword Vice President/Co-Founder Fulvio Menegozzo added, "The grand vision for Qwikword is to be a global social media application, so we have built many different levels for connecting. Our launch today is focused on the United States and other English-speaking countries. We plan to be available in dozens of other languages, along with incorporating instant translation software, by the middle of 2015. Additionally we continue to improve our algorithm and are developing the app for use in wearable technology including the Apple Watch and Google Glass."

"The ingenuity and overall simplicity of the Qwikword application intrigued me from my initial meeting with the company founders," said Qwikword Attorney and Partner at McDermott, Will & Emery Law Firm, Alan D'Ambrosio. He added, "I have been involved with numerous established and start-up companies in the IT sector but recognized that Qwikword was not like anything else available in the world of social media. I am genuinely excited to be a part of the Qwikword team and watching it become a major player in the industry."

Some of the early adopters of Qwikword have positively embraced the multi-level formatting of the platform. For example, Qwikworders with the greatest response are awarded bragging rights by being noted for "Qwikword of the Day/Week/Month," which is all a part of helping to determine a user's Influence ranking.

The free application can be downloaded at the Apple iTunes store for iOS, on Google Play for Android devices and online through the Qwikword.com website.
