Barracuda NG Firewall Now Available in Azure Virtual Machines Gallery as part of Microsoft Azure Certified

Barracuda NG Firewall version 5.4.3 Extends Support for Microsoft Centric Deployments

CAMPBELL, Calif., July 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Barracuda Networks, Inc. (NYSE: CUDA), a leading provider of cloud-connected security and storage solutions, today announced the availability of the Barracuda NG Firewall Vx in the Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines Gallery as part of the new Microsoft Azure Certified program. The newest version - Barracuda NG Firewall version 5.4.3 - extends support for Microsoft deployments in the areas of Windows Remote Desktop Services, virtualization and public cloud, enabling customers to further capitalize on their Microsoft investments. Barracuda is presenting its Azure Certified solutions at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference this week in Washington, DC.

        within Microsoft Azure, and enables organizations to deploy securely
        interconnected multi-zone network architectures.
    --  Full user awareness for Windows Remote Desktop Services - provides user
        awareness even when multiple users on a Remote Desktop Server are behind
        a single IP address.
    --  Support for Hyper-V virtualization - supports Microsoft Hyper-V
        deployments in addition to VMware.
Both the Barracuda NG Firewall and the Barracuda Web Application Firewall are available in the Azure Gallery as part of the new Microsoft Azure Certified program announced this week at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference. The Barracuda NG Firewall Vx is a virtual appliance that runs on Hyper-V and VMware environments and is sized based on target numbers of users. Pricing for virtual appliances starts at U.S. list price $1799 USD.

The Barracuda NG Firewall for Microsoft Azure is available today in the Azure Gallery as part of the new Microsoft Azure Certified program.
