Audio technology provider Dirac today announced the unveiling of Dirac Unison, a
highly advanced sound optimization technology for automotive applications as well as high
performance audio and home theater systems. Beyond the boundaries of traditional digital
room correction and passive room treatment, Dirac Unison precisely unites the output of
the speakers in a way that will astonish listeners in any environment.

Dirac Unison uses acoustic measurements to create an active acoustic treatment of the
listening space. The technology jointly optimizes the loudspeakers and features a
completely new kind of bass management, which is automatically matched to the room and the
loudspeakers. With Dirac Unison, the loudspeakers and room act cohesively rather than as
individual elements that interfere with each other.

Volvo Car Group is the first licensee to use Dirac Unison, making the technology
available in the all-new Volvo XC90 with the Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Dirac Unison
co-optimizes the loudspeakers in frequency, time and space for the best possible bass
integration and clarity, and enables recreation of individual acoustic environments from
certain performance venues. With the touch of a button, occupants can be immersed in the
acoustic likeness of Gothenburg Concert Hall, located nearby to Volvo's headquarters and
acclaimed by many artists as one of the world's best concert halls.

"We have witnessed a recent surge in interest for advanced technologies focused on the
natural and accurate reproduction of sound," explained Dirac CEO Dr. Mathias Johansson.
"It is exciting for us to add Dirac Unison to our portfolio of technologies, further
enabling our licensees in their quest to satisfy consumer demand for superb sound,"
Johansson added.

Dirac Unison is Dirac's most advanced sound optimization technology and is available
exclusively through high performance audio and automotive manufacturers. For more
