Anite Enables Wireless Network Operators to Achieve Highly Accurate Network Optimization and More Advanced Troubleshooting

OULU, Finland, April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

The latest releases of Anite's Nemo Handy-A and Nemo Walker Air bring advanced
technology and cell forcing features with Samsung Galaxy Core LTE

Anite, a global leader in wireless network testing technology, is proud to announce
new releases of Nemo Handy-A, a solution for handheld network measurements and
troubleshooting as well as Nemo Walker Air, a multi-technology tool for indoor
benchmarking. With the new releases, Anite is first in the market to release a complete
set of locking and forcing features with Samsung Galaxy Core LTE based on the Broadcom
M320 chipset. The new professional engineering features are:

        - System lock
        - Band lock
        - Cell barring
        - Channel lock in GSM
        - Carrier and scrambling code lock in UMTS
        - Carrier and PCI lock in LTE
        - For controlling handovers:
             - Measurement suppression (to prevent handovers)
             - Measurement biasing (for assisted handovers)

"Specific cells in mobile networks need to be tested without the test systems
automatically switching to neighbouring base stations", explains Jussi Lemilainen, Vice
President, Product Management and Business Development of Anite's Network Testing
business. "The extensive forcing features of Nemo Handy-A and Walker Air together with the
Samsung Galaxy Core LTE make locking into a specific cell quick and easy. This enables
more accurate testing, troubleshooting and optimization of mobile networks, improving the
network's quality as well as the usability of mobile services".

The releases of the latest versions of Nemo Handy-A and Nemo Walker-Air also bring
support for the portable, battery operated DRT 4311B scanner. The pocket-sized, yet
efficient scanner, which is operated via Bluetooth, increases the efficiency of indoor
measurements and walk testing, enabling users to carry out multi frequency scans on all
technologies and bands. The test receiver's advanced architecture offers a range of
solutions that are optimized to process different cellular protocols. DRT uses the latest
in digital signal processing (DSP) and microprocessor technology.
