Leviton Introduces New USB Charger/Tamper-Resistant Duplex Receptacle
Two USB Ports, Two Receptacles in One Powerful Device
MELVILLE, N.Y., April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Leviton today introduced its new USB Charger/Tamper-Resistant Duplex Receptacle offering two high-powered USB Ports with 3.6A of charging power and two 15A or 20A/125V Tamper-Resistant Receptacles. This flagship addition to Leviton's line of USB Charger Devices has the capability to charge two USB powered electronic devices utilizing its two USB Ports, leaving the two Tamper-Resistant Receptacles free for other uses. The Leviton USB Charger/Tamper-Resistant Duplex Receptacle is designed to charge tablets, smart and mobile phones, gaming devices, e-readers, digital cameras and a host of other electronic devices.
Strategically designed with two vertical USB Ports, the Leviton USB Charger/Tamper-Resistant Duplex Receptacle provides additional space for maneuvering of charging cords. The USB Ports are Type A, 2.0 and incorporate a smart chip which recognizes and optimizes the charging power of the connected device. It is engineered to fit in a standard wallbox, use a standard wallplate and can be multi-ganged with any standard Leviton wiring device.
