Netatmo Announces Rain Gauge, Now Available for the Personal Weather Station

PARIS, April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Netatmo, an innovation company developing consumer electronics for a better and connected lifestyle, announces today the availability of Rain Gauge for the Netatmo Personal Weather Station.

Weather fans can measure the level of rainfall directly from their smartphone. Consumers can monitor their personal rain fall and know when to water their plants.

The Netatmo Rain Gauge records the amount of rainfall per hour or cumulated over longer periods of time. It attaches to a standard screw and can be placed in the garden or on the balcony.

The data recorded is relayed via Wi-Fi to the supporting Netatmo Weather Station application on a smartphone, tablet or PC where it can be easily viewed. Custom alerts can be set up to notify the user as soon as the sensors register rainfall or when rainfall reaches a certain level. For example, users can be notified when they need to water their plants or when their basement is in danger of flooding.

The Netatmo Weather Station application's easy-to-use interface provides users with immediate access to all of their station's data. It offers customizable settings for real-time notifications and alerts and provides graphs outlining the nearby environment's daily, weekly monthly or yearly trends.

The Netatmo Rain Gauge completes the range of accessories dedicated to the Weather Station. The Rain Gauge only works with the Weather Station which only one can be associated.

It is available at Netatmo's online store, http://shop.netatmo.com, for $79 USD.
