Magisto Launches On Amazon Fire TV, Brings Produced Personal Movies To Your Living Room

Beautiful display, pristine fluidity and cross platform connectivity make Amazon's Fire an ideal device for bringing your Magisto movies to life on your TV

NEW YORK, April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Magisto, the cloud-based mobile video platform, is announcing that the popular Magisto app is available on Amazon's newly announced Amazon Fire TV, allowing users to stream their Magisto movies to their TVs.

By making the app simple to use through Amazon Fire TV, users can bring their Magisto movies to life in large format, streaming shared life experiences directly to their living rooms. Users will also be able to view content from Magisto's community of users, making it possible to search and watch videos from a range of topics from Road Tripping In Hungary to Rocking Out In Austin Texas.

"The form factor of devices is no longer a limiting factor in how people consume media," said Oren Boiman, co-founder and CEO of Magisto. "Professionally produced movie and television programing made their way to the digital world several years ago, but personal video has been conspicuously absent from the evolving TV experience, because, until now, it was difficult to make video content that was worth sharing. Magisto has changed that and now with Amazon Fire TV, our users can share their stories with the richness and grandeur that a large screen TV provides."

Magisto employs A.I. driven technology that analyzes and automatically edits raw video and photos to recreate their 30 million users life experiences in the form of video stories. Going beyond merely telling stories, it ensures users are left with the sense of place and emotion that shows how it feels to have lived a particular life experience. By making the app available through Amazon Fire TV, Magisto videos are, for the first time, taken beyond smartphones, tablets and computers and transformed into TV viewing content.

"We are thrilled that Magisto is now available for  Amazon Fire TV," said Mike George, vice president of Amazon Appstore and Games. "Customers now have access to their favorite video and photo memories right in their living rooms, displayed in a visually stunning way. Magisto has developed a fast and engaging app, and we know that our customers will love experiencing it on the Amazon Fire TV."

In addition to Amazon Fire TV, Magisto recently announced the availability of the app through the Amazon Appstore, making it available on Kindle devices in addition to compatible Android devices through Amazon.
