Casio Helps Students Prepare for College with its Newest Graphing Calculator

ClassPad fx-CP400 Offers All-Inclusive Set of Features Making it the Ideal Tool for College Students

DOVER, N.J., March 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio America, Inc., a leader and pioneer in the education space, is known for delivering innovative products geared to help students excel in their studies, especially when it comes to math. As high school students begin to receive college acceptance letters and plan their future, Casio wants to make sure they are prepared for the higher level math classes that await them in the Fall. The ClassPad fx-CP400graphing calculator offers the right tools to take them from high school math to higher education courses all in the palms of their hands.

"Casio is committed to developing products that offer all the tools necessary for students to achieve their goals in mathematics," said Yuji Sasajima, Vice President of Casio's Consumer Products Division. "We saw the success of the ClassPad series in the education market throughout the past ten years and wanted to build upon that with enhanced functions, while also incorporating the popular features that students and teachers in a college setting trust."

The ClassPad fx-CP400 is equipped with a high resolution 4.8 inch touch-panel LCD providing clearer images of mathematical data for students, as well as a better way to comprehend the relationships between equations and graphs since the calculator can display both at the same time. Also, with the touch of a button, the fx-CP400 can switch from a vertical view to a horizontal view, which is convenient for displaying long mathematical formulas on a single line. Both of these capabilities make it easier for students to focus on refreshing their mathematical skills and grasp difficult concepts.

With its powerful graphing functions, natural textbook display, and various tools for algebra, statistics, calculus and geometry problems, students will be equipped for any college level mathematics class this Fall. Casio also redesigned the fx-CP400's software keyboard to make it even easier to use. While offering the same keyboard arrangement made popular by previous ClassPad models, the fx-CP400 has keys that slope down from bottom to top, which helps the user avoid input errors. It also includes the Casio's Computer Algebra System (CAS), which has a stylus for pen touch operations, allowing users to input all their mathematical data by using the keyboard below the screen and then use the stylus on the touch screen to drag and drop the formulas into graphs and charts.

The ClassPad fx-CP400 is currently available for an MSRP of $149 at http://www.shopcasio.com. For additional information on Casio's complete portfolio of calculators, please visit http://www.CasioEducation.com.
