uSamp Builds Adaptive Profiling(TM) to Improve Targeting Quality and Decrease Time to Field

Clients should expect time to field their projects to decrease by at least 20%

LOS ANGELES, March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- uSamp, the technology leader in providing targeted audiences for global consumer and business insights, today announced it will soon launch its Adaptive Profiling(TM) system to manage and access audiences for market research. Representing a departure from current industry models, Adaptive Profiling involves asking questions to uSamp panelists based on their correlated attributes, which will reduce the total number of profile questions asked by half and ultimately double survey completion rates.

"Before today, profiling models were static and inflexible, which means 90% of the data collected could not be used for the intended project," said Carl Trudel, CTO, uSamp. "Adaptive Profiling is a true game changer, as it improves the likelihood that the filtered audience will match the desired profile sought by the client base."

Adaptive Profiling is expected to improve panelist engagement through correlative survey targeting. For example, if a client needs electric vehicle owners, uSamp can accelerate the targeting of these individuals by examining previously correlated attributes of other groups, such as wearable technology users.

"Most profiling models used by the industry don't paint an accurate picture of panel size and makeup," said Andy Jolls, senior vice president of global marketing, uSamp. "For instance, a panelist who is profiled as being pregnant may be counted this way for years because she hasn't been asked any follow-up profile questions. Adaptive Profiling is more accurate because it allows us to continuously collect data points on our panel and expire responses over time."

Using predictive analytics, uSamp's Adaptive Profiling employs complex statistical analyses to build relevancy models between different data points. This new approach will also help uSamp conduct a live incidence check before each study. Once implemented, uSamp expects overall time to field to decrease by 20% or more.
